NoodleFest
Naming and Poster Design
In order to raise money for the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children, a group of Year 11 students from Sydney Boys High School proposed the organisation of a Korean noodle day on August 11, 2006, which would also celebrate the multicultural nature of the school.
Raymond Roca Creativity branded the event as "NoodleFest", hence refocussing it from a "charity day" to a catchy festival connotative of celebration and novelty. Raymond Roca Creativity also designed the posters that advertised the event (view poster), which evoked authenticity, while also alluding to the event's charitable profile through the inclusion of the Braille lettering. Around 50 A4 posters were pinned up around the school in the days prior to the event, which was highly successful and concluded with more than 750 people taking part, including students and staff.
