SBHSDebating, Sydney Boys High School's debating programme, was rebranded by Raymond Roca Creativity in 2005, with the process including a new identity as well as several poster and flyer designs.
A central part of the rebranding was the launch of a website designed to provide frequently-updated information for all students taking part in debating. The website was designed using standards-based XHTML and CSS, with attention paid to making the site as accessible as possible. The new medium of information provided SBHSDebating with a significantly easier and more powerful way of co-ordinating debating, permitting debaters to instantly access to latest results and find out about all coming events relevant to debating, as well as team selections, coaching information and documents about debating guidelines.
The site also included an online registration system, permitting all debaters to submit their details online without having to fill out any physical forms. SBHSDebating thus became the first co-curricular activity at Sydney Boys High School, and the first debating association in the GPS union to implement an entirely-paperless registration system, setting an example in the provision of online services. Such a system made it substantially more convenient for both debaters to sign up, and for the SBHSDebating administration to process their data, leading to the a record number of students taking part in the debating programme in 2005.
